This evolution of the Interference series adds a dimension of depth. The plates of color are layered inside the piece creating a background and foreground within each vessel. On some pieces, the entire exterior is sandblasted; on others, only the plates on the surface are. Cane-worked 'ordinate lines' provide an ordered, geometric frame and act to strengthen the works' allusion to geographic and cartographic ideas.
