At East Falls Glassworks we strive to make glass blowing and glass art accessible to all.
This pages is dedicated to some glass related gift ideas at many different price ranges.
We offer art and participatory gifts that are perfect for the holidays, anniversaries,
birthdays, or any special occasion. You can also check our our online
gallery page for more images of work for sale.
Participatory Gifts
Gift certificates are available of any of
East Falls Glassworks class offerings. You can give a glass blowing
experience that the recipient will never forget. One of the best things about running a
glass studio is the opportunity to teach others about the most amazing material and see the
look on their faces as they work with glass for the first time. After the gift certificate
is received, the lucky recipient can call the studio to schedule their session(s).
$80 - Glass Blowing Experience - The Glass Experience is a unique
chance for folks to try glass blowing with no future commitment. Participants will see a glass
form demonstrated, then get the opportunity to make one of their own (with our expert assistance).
This is also a great experience
that can be shared by multiple participants. We normal book as many as four people for each
session, but special arrangement can be made for a larger group.
$290 - Introduction to Glassblowing Class - Our introductory class meets for four weeks,
once per week for three hours, for a total of 12 hours of instructional time. The class is geared
for people with no glass experience; our patient instructors will step through the fundamentals of
glass blowing, demonstrating the basic techniques, and explaining the tools and necessary
equipment.
Functional Gifts/Glass Housewares
The best glass art is the kind that can be used and enjoyed every day. The East Falls Glassworks
prodution work is focussed on objects that are functional. Although our glassware is not dishwasher
safe, it can be easily cleaned with some warm water and dish soap.
$15 to $25 - Holiday Ornaments - The artisans at East Falls Glassworks are hard at work
making beautiful ornaments for the holiday season. We have all different colors and patterns, including
Optic ornaments which refract and reflect light in magnificent ways, fritted ornaments in every color
you may desire, and 'reduced' ornaments which have a brilliant metallic reflective surface.
$30 - Drinking Glasses/Tumblers - Everyone deserves their own special glass cup. We make a
variety of glass tumblers in different colors. You can buy one or an entire set for the entire family.
We sell matched pairs of tumblers for $55.
$50 - Cereal (or Pet) Bowls - These fritted glass bowls with a contrasting lip-wrap are
perfect for the morning meal or for that very deserving dog or cat in your life. Sets of bowls are
available in either the same color or complementary colors at $90.
$60 - Perfume Bottles - Each glass perfume bottle is mated with a custom fit stopper. These
are functional and can be filled with the recipient's favorite fragrance. These are excellent romantic
gifts for the special lady in your life.
$70 - Purse Vases - The Purse vases are playful forms, with applied bits
on the sides in contrasting colors. They are functional and are beautiful either with flowers or just
sitting empty in a sunny window. These are very popular as wedding gifts.
$70 - Animal Cups - If you are looking for a gift for someone who collects animals either
collectible or live, our Animal Cups make a perfect gift. We have glass penguin cups, glass pig cups
(with or without wings), cat cups, elephant cups and others. Here is the
gallery page showcasing the blown glass animal cups.
$120 to $150 - Serving Bowls - Our two-color glass serving bowls are available in the most
brilliant colors
inside and out. They are perfect as serving bowls or as coffee table centerpieces, holding knick-nacks or
candies. These bowls are priced by size.
